I just want to say how happy I am that people liked my last blog “thoughts on: friendship” . I felt like that was my favorite blog yet. Today I want to welcome a new category to my blog site. I’ve been meaning write either a fashion or make up blog since I’ve done those least of all aside from recipes which I plan to do mostly in the summer when I have time to cook more.
So since spring started about March 20th, I thought it would be a good idea to create a list of pieces to refresh your wardrobe for the spring.
Pastels
This one is my personal favorite. In winter when I went on my annual shopping spree with my best friend, I saw the most beautiful lavender skirt but since they didn't have my size, I ended up with a pastel pink skirt but I still thought it was gorgeous.
Bold colors
I wouldn't wear this myself but there so many people I see pulling this off and look so good doing it. I feel like if you want something out of the ordinary this one is the best way to go.
All (or mostly) White Outfits
There is just something about this trend that is really classy. Personally I prefer the mostly white because then something like a pink skirt pops out more and acts more like a statement piece.
Black and White Polka dots
Polka dots are an absolute classic for this time of year. I find this trend to be extremely elegant and timeless for this season.
Neutrals
I find neutrals to be nice but I also feel like it's more of a fall thing. When I think of fall I see more earthy and warm colors but spring to me is more colorful with pastels but I feel for people who have more of a subtle taste in fashion, neutrals are the way to go.
Reds & Pinks
Personally I don't see the deep red as a spring color but that's my preference. I love the pinks but the bright red reminds me more of spring and summer because it is so vibrant.
Sunshine colors
The sunshine colors are absolutely gorgeous to me because I have a love for warm colors because of my skin tone. I would have never expected it to be so popular in the spring because those usually were fall colors but regardless I would still wear it.
Straw hats
I'm not a huge fan of these but as the weather gets warmer you need protection from the sun and there is no better way to do so than in a fashionable way. These are perfect for the beach, Coachella etc.
This article was strictly based on different magazines and what I've seen in stores. Since this is my first fashion blog, it will take awhile for me to develop a writing style for these type of articles. These are less opinion based but I still want to find a way to express myself in them.
One thing I want my readers to remember: Fashion is all about expression and preference. Even though fashion has trends, you don't need to follow them if you don't like them. The reason I wanted to write these blogs is to inspire you if you feel like changing up your look for you.
